Educational Q&A

Timely communication and decisive action in matters of dharma—especially marriage undertaken for lineage and ancestral welfare—can become the direct cause of collective good (śreyas).

Elāpatra instructs that when the sage Jaratkāru is ready to choose a wife, the news must be reported immediately, because that event is crucial for the welfare of their group (implicitly tied to lineage and the fate of their kin).
