“You have also recounted how their husband Kaśyapa granted boons to Kadrū and Vinatā, and you have stated the names of Vinatā’s two sons who were born in the form of birds. Now, please continue the account in its proper sequence.”

The verse highlights careful transmission of tradition: a listener confirms what has been narrated (boons and names) and prompts the storyteller to proceed in order. Ethically, it underscores that boons (vara) are powerful causes whose outcomes shape lineages and future events, so they must be recounted precisely.
Śaunaka, the chief listener in the Naimiṣa forest dialogue, notes that the narrator has already described Kaśyapa’s boons to Kadrū and Vinatā and has named Vinatā’s two bird-sons (Garuḍa and Aruṇa). He is effectively requesting the continuation of the story from that point.
