Vāsudevārjunau vīrau siṃhanādaṃ vinedatuḥ.
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: The two heroes, Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) and Arjuna, let out a lion-like roar. Seeing the lord of the gods, Indra, depart together with the other deities, they proclaimed their fearless resolve.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast courage and righteous confidence: even when divine powers are present and moving away, the dharmic hero does not become timid but affirms resolve and valor.
Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna, seeing Indra depart along with the other gods, respond by sounding a lion-like roar—an emphatic declaration of their heroic spirit.
