Śārṅgaka-stuti to Agni during the Khāṇḍava Conflagration
tac ca sarvaṃ yathānyāyaṃ brahmaṇe saṃnyavedayat | uvāca cainaṃ bhagavān muhūrtaṃ sa vicintya tu ||
He reported everything to Brahmā in the proper and fitting manner. Then the Blessed Lord Brahmā, after reflecting for a while, addressed him—signaling that the matter required careful judgment before a response could be given.
The verse highlights yathā-nyāya—communicating and acting in a manner consistent with propriety and justice—and shows that even a divine authority responds after thoughtful deliberation rather than impulsively.
A narrator reports that the concerned party conveys all details to Brahmā appropriately; Brahmā pauses to reflect for a time and then begins to reply, indicating a transition from report to considered counsel.
