Śārṅgakānāṃ Avināśaḥ (Why the Śārṅga Birds Were Spared) | शार्ङ्गकानामविनाशः
दीर्घबाहुं महोरस्क॑ वृषभाक्षमरिंदमम् । सुभद्रा सुषुवे वीरमभिमन्युं नरर्षभम्,सुभद्राने वीरवर नरश्रेष्ठ अभिमन्युको उत्पन्न किया, जिसकी बड़ी-बड़ी बाँहें, विशाल वक्ष:स्थल और बैलोंके समान विशाल नेत्र थे। वह शत्रुओंका दमन करनेवाला था
dīrghabāhuṁ mahoraskaṁ vṛṣabhākṣam ariṁdamam | subhadrā suṣuve vīram abhimanyuṁ nararṣabham ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Subhadrā gave birth to the heroic Abhimanyu—long-armed, broad-chested, with eyes like a bull’s, a crusher of foes, and a foremost among men.
