Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical power of consolation grounded in lineage and exemplars: recalling a worthy predecessor can steady the mind, restore confidence, and orient one toward dharma through remembered models of conduct.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that a king speaks soothingly to someone and begins a lineage-based reassurance by citing an earlier ruler of the same family, named Prabhañjana, as a notable precedent.
