Educational Q&A

The verse frames the Sambhava-parvan as a dharmic genealogy: the worth of kings and lineages is understood through narrated origins and remembered tradition, implying that rulership is accountable to inherited and transmitted dharma rather than mere power.

The text announces that the story now turns to the great Bharata-line kings and that, in the Sambhava-parvan, their diverse birth-origins and genealogical accounts will be recounted as part of the larger Mahabharata narration.
