समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः
Samantapañcaka Narrative and the Measure of an Akṣauhiṇī
श्रुत्वा शकुनिना द्ूते निकृत्या निर्जितांश्व॒ तान् । क्रुद्धस्यानुप्रशमनं हरेश्नैव किरीटिना,जब श्रीकृष्णने यह सुना कि शकुनिने जूएमें पाण्डवोंको कपटसे हरा दिया है, तब वे अत्यन्त क्रोधित हुए; परंतु अर्जुनने हाथ जोड़कर उन्हें शान्त किया
śrutvā śakuninā dūte nikṛtyā nirjitān śvātān | kruddhasyānuprāśamanaṃ hareḥ naiva kirīṭinā ||
Hearing that Śakuni, through deceit in the game of dice, had defeated them, Hari (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) became intensely enraged. Yet Arjuna, the diademed hero, restrained and pacified him—showing that even righteous anger must be governed by self-control and timely counsel.
राम उवाच
Even justified anger at injustice (here, deceit in the dice game) should be restrained through discernment and good counsel; self-mastery prevents rash action and preserves dharma.
Kṛṣṇa hears that Śakuni has defeated the Pāṇḍavas by cheating in the dice match and becomes furious; Arjuna (Kirīṭin) respectfully calms him, preventing immediate impulsive retaliation.
