Perceiving Duryodhana’s corrupt intention, the sage Vyāsa hastened to that place. He forbade Duryodhana from setting out on his journey; and in this very context the episode (ākhyāna) of Surabhī is also related—underscoring how wise counsel seeks to restrain harmful resolve before it ripens into wrongdoing.
राम उवाच
When a harmful intention is recognized early, dharmic authority intervenes to restrain action; ethical life requires checking corrupt resolve before it becomes irreversible harm.
Vyāsa perceives Duryodhana’s tainted motive and quickly arrives to prevent him from departing; the text notes that the Surabhī episode is told in this same connection as an illustrative narrative.
