कशाग्रदण्डाभिहता काल्यमाना ततस्ततः । क्रोधरक्तेक्षणा क्रोधं भूय एव समाददे,कोड़ोंके अग्रभाग और डंडोंसे मार-मारकर इधर-उधर हाँके जानेके कारण उसके नेत्र पहलेसे ही क्रोधके कारण रक्तवर्णके हो गये थे। फिर उसने और भी क्रोध धारण किया
kaśāgra-daṇḍābhihatā kālyamānā tatas tataḥ | krodha-raktekṣaṇā krodhaṃ bhūya eva samādade ||
Struck with the tips of whips and with staffs, and driven about from place to place, her eyes—already reddened by anger—grew still more inflamed; she took up wrath yet again.
गन्धर्व उवाच
Coercion and harsh punishment tend to inflame krodha (anger) rather than pacify it; ethical restraint and measured conduct are implied as superior to humiliating force.
The Gandharva describes a figure being beaten with whips and staffs and driven around; already anger-red-eyed, she becomes even more enraged, escalating the emotional tension of the episode.
