इत्युक्त: स तदा तेन ददानीत्येव निश्चित: । प्रत्यभाषत त॑ विप्रं प्रतिनन्द्य दिवाकर:,वसिष्ठजीके यों कहनेपर अपनी कन्या देनेका निश्चय करके भगवान्‌ सूर्यने ब्रह्मर्षिका अभिनन्दन किया और इस प्रकार कहा--

Transliteration

ity uktaḥ sa tadā tena dadānīty eva niścitaḥ | pratyabhāṣata taṁ vipraṁ pratinandya divākaraḥ ||

Translation

Thus addressed, the Sun-god (Divākara), having firmly resolved, “I shall give (my daughter),” welcomed the brahmarṣi and replied with words of honor.
