Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Arjuna, the beloved disciple of his teacher, with poised elegance and swift precision, struck the delicate target, the minute target, and even the heavy one—piercing them steadily with many kinds of arrows. The episode shows disciplined skill guided by reverence for the guru, mastery displayed not for vanity but as the fruit of focused training and obedience.

Educational Q&A

True excellence arises from disciplined practice and focused attention, grounded in respect for the teacher; skill is portrayed as the ethical fruit of training rather than mere display.

Vaiśaṃpāyana describes Arjuna demonstrating extraordinary archery by accurately piercing multiple kinds of targets—delicate, minute, and heavy—using various arrows, showing both precision and composure.
