कर्णप्रवेशः—रङ्गे द्वन्द्वयुद्धप्रस्तावः तथा अङ्गराज्याभिषेकः
Karna’s Entry, Duel Proposal, and Consecration as King of Aṅga
गन्धर्वनगराकारं तथैवान्तर्तहितं पुन: । ऋषिसिद्धगणं दृष्टवा विस्मयं ते परं ययु:,(कौरवा: सहसोत्पत्य साधु साध्विति विस्मिता: ।।) गन्धर्वनगरके समान उन महर्षियों और सिद्धोंके समुदायको इस प्रकार अन्तर्धान होते देख वे सभी कौरव सहसा उछलकर “साधु-साधु' ऐसा कहते हुए बड़े विस्मित हुए
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
gandharvanagarākāraṃ tathaivāntarhitaṃ punaḥ |
ṛṣisiddhagaṇaṃ dṛṣṭvā vismayaṃ te paraṃ yayuḥ |
(kauravāḥ sahasotpatya sādhu sādhv iti vismitāḥ ||)
Vaiśampāyana said: Seeing that assembly of ṛṣis and siddhas—appearing like a celestial city of the Gandharvas—vanish again from sight, the Kauravas were struck with the highest amazement. Rising up at once, they exclaimed, “Well done, well done!” in wonder. The episode underscores reverence toward spiritual power and the humbling recognition that ascetic accomplishment can eclipse worldly pride.
