Thereafter, in the womb of Āsurī, the wife of Devatājit, a son named Devadyumna was born. Devadyumna begot Parameṣṭhī through Dhenumatī, and Parameṣṭhī begot Pratīha through Suvarcalā.
They are successive descendants in the royal lineage being narrated by Śukadeva Gosvāmī—Devadyumna is born from Āsurī, Parameṣṭhī from Devadyumna and Dhenumatī, and Pratīha from Parameṣṭhī and Suvarcalā.
These genealogies preserve sacred history, establish the continuity of dharma through saintly and royal lines, and provide context for later narratives about exemplary kings and devotees.
By remembering that spiritual culture is carried through disciplined family and community traditions, inspiring one to honor lineage, cultivate character, and transmit bhakti practices responsibly to the next generation.
