It lists a sequence of descendants in the Lunar Dynasty: Pariplava, Medhāvī (son of Sunayā), then Nṛpañjaya, Dūrva, and finally Timi.
To preserve the sacred history of dynasties connected with dharma and the Lord’s pastimes, and to show how great personalities appear through established lineages.
It strengthens śraddhā (faith) by placing spiritual teachings in a real historical narrative and encourages respect for dharmic inheritance—values, character, and responsibility passed through generations.
