ततो विदूरथस्तस्मात् सार्वभौमस्ततोऽभवत् । जयसेनस्तत्तनयो राधिकोऽतोऽयुताय्वभूत् ॥ १० ॥
tato vidūrathas tasmāt sārvabhaumas tato ’bhavat jayasenas tat-tanayo rādhiko ’to ’yutāyv abhūt
From Suratha came Vidūratha, and from him was born Sārvabhauma. From Sārvabhauma came Jayasena; from Jayasena, Rādhika; and from Rādhika, Ayutāyu.
They are successive kings in the Puru dynasty, listed by Śukadeva Gosvāmī as part of the genealogical narration in Canto 9, Chapter 22.
To preserve the sacred historical record of dharmic lineages and to situate the Lord’s pastimes and great devotees within the flow of time and dynasty.
Human fame and power pass quickly through generations; remembering this encourages humility and steadiness in bhakti rather than attachment to temporary status.
