Rantideva’s Supreme Charity and the Hastī Lineage
Hastināpura and Pañcāla Origins
यवीनरो द्विमीढस्य कृतिमांस्तत्सुत: स्मृत: । नाम्ना सत्यधृतिस्तस्य दृढनेमि: सुपार्श्वकृत् ॥ २७ ॥
yavīnaro dvimīḍhasya kṛtimāṁs tat-sutaḥ smṛtaḥ nāmnā satyadhṛtis tasya dṛḍhanemiḥ supārśvakṛt
Dvimīḍha’s son was Yavīnara, whose son was known as Kṛtimān. Kṛtimān’s son was the renowned Satyadhṛti. From Satyadhṛti came Dṛḍhanemi, who became the father of Supārśva.
It lists the next links in the dynasty: from Dvimīḍha comes Kṛtimān (through Yavīnara), then Satyadhṛti, then Dṛḍhanemi, who is also called Supārśvakṛt.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating the dynastic lineage to Mahārāja Parīkṣit.
They ground devotion in sacred history, showing continuity of dharma and reminding readers that Bhagavatam preserves real lineages through which Vedic culture and devotion were carried.
