Hari’s Special Mercy, Śiva’s Quick Boons, and the Deliverance from Vṛkāsura

Hari is the directly manifest Absolute Truth, the Supreme Soul, an endless ocean of inconceivable potencies. Whoever recites or hears this pastime of His saving Giritra (Lord Śiva) is freed from all enemies and from the cycle of birth and death.
Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī concludes this chapter with the following statement:
This verse states that simply hearing or narrating the account of Giritra’s deliverance connected to Lord Hari frees one from saṁsāra (repeated birth and death).
Because the chapter’s message centers on Hari’s supreme position and the purifying power of bhakti; Śukadeva concludes that śravaṇa/kathā of such topics grants liberation and protection.
Make regular time to hear or recite Bhagavatam narrations about Hari with faith; the practice strengthens devotion, reduces anxiety born of material struggle, and cultivates inner freedom.
