Upon touching the body of His dear friend, the wise brāhmaṇa, the lotus-eyed Supreme Lord was filled with ecstatic joy and, out of love, shed tears from His eyes.
Because Kṛṣṇa was overwhelmed with affectionate joy upon embracing His dear devotee and childhood friend Sudāmā; His tears reveal His intimate reciprocation with pure devotion.
This verse shows that Kṛṣṇa is not distant—He becomes personally delighted by a devotee’s loving presence and responds with visible signs of prema, such as tears and heartfelt embrace.
Cultivate sincere, humble devotion and trust that the Lord values love over status or wealth; genuine affection and purity of heart draw divine reciprocation.
