Rājasūya: Agrapūjā for Kṛṣṇa and the Slaying (and Liberation) of Śiśupāla
श्रीयुधिष्ठिर उवाच ये स्युस्त्रैलोक्यगुरव: सर्वे लोकामहेश्वरा: । वहन्ति दुर्लभं लब्ध्वा शिरसैवानुशासनम् ॥ २ ॥
śrī-yudhiṣṭhira uvāca ye syus trai-lokya-guravaḥ sarve lokā maheśvarāḥ vahanti durlabhaṁ labdvā śirasaivānuśāsanam
Śrī Yudhiṣṭhira said: All the exalted teachers of the three worlds, along with the inhabitants and rulers of the various realms, bear upon their heads Your command, so rarely attained.
Śrīla Prabhupāda renders Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira’s statement as follows: “My dear Kṛṣṇa, O eternal form of bliss and knowledge, all the exalted directors of the affairs of this material world, including Lord Brahmā, Lord Śiva and King Indra, are always anxious to receive and carry out orders from You, and whenever they are fortunate enough to receive such orders, they immediately take them and keep them in their hearts.”
This verse states that even the “teachers of the three worlds” and mighty lords, having attained the rare fortune of connection with Him, accept Kṛṣṇa’s governance and instruction with the highest reverence—“upon their heads.”
In the Rājasūya assembly context, Yudhiṣṭhira honors Kṛṣṇa’s supreme position, acknowledging that the greatest authorities naturally submit to His command, underscoring Kṛṣṇa’s unique sovereignty.
