upahūtās tathā cānye droṇa-bhīṣma-kṛpādayaḥ dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ saha-suto viduraś ca mahā-matiḥ
O King, among those invited were Droṇa, Bhīṣma, Kṛpa, Dhṛtarāṣṭra with his sons, and the greatly wise Vidura. Brāhmaṇas, kṣatriyas, vaiśyas and śūdras, eager to behold the sacrifice, and all the kings as well, came there with their entourages.
This verse says they came out of eagerness to witness the sacred sacrifice, indicating the public, celebrated nature of a great Vedic yajña performed by a righteous emperor.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī addresses Parīkṣit Mahārāja (“O King”), continuing his narration of events surrounding Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rājasūya.
Sacred events centered on dharma and devotion naturally draw people together across social backgrounds; supporting and participating in authentic spiritual gatherings strengthens shared values and community.
