Mura whirled his trident and then hurled it fiercely at Garuḍa, roaring from all five mouths. The sound filled the earth and sky, all directions and the limits of outer space, until it reverberated against the very shell of the universe.
This verse shows Garuḍa directly facing powerful, terrifying opponents while carrying out the Lord’s mission, illustrating his fearless service and the protection that surrounds the Lord’s associates.
The five-faced roar emphasizes the opponent’s formidable, supernatural power and the intensity of the battle scene, heightening the contrast with the Lord’s ultimate supremacy and protection of His side.
Even when threats feel universe-filling, steady service and reliance on the Lord’s protection—exemplified by Garuḍa—teaches courage, focus, and faith in difficult circumstances.
