As Dhruva Mahārāja proceeded along the road, gentle ladies of the neighborhood gathered from every side to behold him, and with motherly affection they blessed him, showering white mustard seed, barley, curd, water, fresh dūrvā grass, fruits, and flowers. Hearing their sweet songs, Dhruva entered his father’s palace.
This verse lists mustard seeds, unbroken rice, yogurt, water, durvā grass, flowers, and fruits as auspicious offerings used to honor Dhruva Mahārāja.
Dhruva had returned as a spiritually accomplished devotee and celebrated prince; the women honored him with traditional auspicious articles as a sign of reverence and blessing.
Receive them respectfully with clean, simple offerings and a sincere heart—honor their devotion and create a sacred, appreciative atmosphere.
