The Appearance and Coronation of King Pṛthu (Pṛthu-avatāra) and His Humble Refusal of Premature Praise
इयं च सुदती देवी गुणभूषणभूषणा । अर्चिर्नाम वरारोहा पृथुमेवावरुन्धती ॥ ५ ॥
iyaṁ ca sudatī devī guṇa-bhūṣaṇa-bhūṣaṇā arcir nāma varārohā pṛthum evāvarundhatī
The female is a goddess with beautiful teeth and virtues so radiant that she beautifies even the ornaments she wears. Her name will be Arci, and in time she will accept King Pṛthu as her husband.
Arci is the goddess-like, virtuous wife of King Pṛthu, described as adorned by her own good qualities and devoted exclusively to him.
It means she is ornamented by the ornament of virtues—her character and qualities themselves are her true adornment.
It teaches that inner virtues are the highest beauty and that faithful commitment and good character are the foundation of harmonious family life.
