Manvantara Administration: Appointment of Manus, Indras, and the Restoration of Dharma
श्रीऋषिरुवाच मनवो मनुपुत्राश्च मुनयश्च महीपते । इन्द्रा: सुरगणाश्चैव सर्वे पुरुषशासना: ॥ २ ॥
śrī-ṛṣir uvāca manavo manu-putrāś ca munayaś ca mahī-pate indrāḥ sura-gaṇāś caiva sarve puruṣa-śāsanāḥ
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: O King, the Manus, the sons of Manu, the great sages, the Indras and all the demigods are appointed under the rule of Bhagavān, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, through His incarnations such as Yajña.
This verse states that Manus, their sons, sages, Indras, and all demigod groups function under the rule of the Supreme Person.
To emphasize that even the highest cosmic administrators are not independent; their authority and order ultimately rest upon the Supreme Lord’s governance.
It encourages humility and devotion by reminding us that all power and leadership are accountable to a higher divine order, inspiring responsible action and surrender to God.
