अजो ह्य१ग्नेरजनिष्ट शोकाद् विप्रो विप्रस्य सहसो विपश्चित्। इष्टं पूर्तमभिपूर्तं वषट्कृतं तद् देवा ऋतुशः कल्पयन्तु
ajó hí agnér ajanīṣṭa śókād vípro víprasya sáhaso vipaścít | iṣṭáṃ pūrtám abhipū́rtaṃ váṣaṭ-kṛtaṃ tád devā́ ṛtuśáḥ kalpayantu ||
For from Agni’s burning grief the Goat was born—wise, inspired, of the inspired one’s might, discerning. The sacrifice and the pious work, the over-filled pious work, made with the Vaṣaṭ—may the Gods, in season and in order, set that in due effect.
