After the Dawns did Agni first show forth his front; after the days, Jātavedas, first-born in might. After the Sun, after the Dawns, after his rays, he entered in—yea, into Heaven and Earth he passed.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (exact ṛṣi attribution for this late book hymn is variable in ancillary lists)
Devata: Agni (with Uṣas and Sūrya as associated powers)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (mixed/late Atharvanic metrical practice)
