Sukta 29

índra etā́ṃ sasṛje viddhó ágre ūrjā́ṃ svadhā́m ájarāṃ sā́ ta eṣā́ | tayā́ tváṃ jī́va śarádaḥ suvár̥cā mā́ ta ā́ susrod bhiṣájaḥ te akran
Indra, though smitten, in the beginning sent forth this—vital strength, self-potent, undecaying: this is it for thee. By it do thou live on through autumns, fair in radiance; let it not stream upon thee—(for) the healers have wrought (the cure) for thee.
Rishi: Unspecified here (to be confirmed from the AV Śaunaka Anukramaṇī for 2.29).
Devata: Indra (as originator of the remedy) and the personified remedial power (etā́/ūrjā́/svadhā́ as feminine ‘she’).
Chandas: Likely Anuṣṭubh (to be verified by metrical count against Śaunaka padapāṭha).
