The Sun, the Right, from darkness—seizable—thereon: the Gods, releasing, cast him forth from sin. Even so do I release thee from kṣetriya, from Nirṛti, from the curse of kindred, from treachery; I loose thee from Varuṇa’s noose. Guiltless by sacred spell I make thee: for thee may Heaven and Earth, both, stand gracious.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (seer not explicit in the given excerpt; commonly assigned within the AV’s Atharvan/Āṅgirasa milieu for such healing hymns).
Devata: Sūrya; Ṛta; Varuṇa (as lord of pāśa); Dyāvāpṛthivī; with Nirṛti as the adversarial power to be expelled.
Chandas: Predominantly Anuṣṭubh (with Atharvanic cadence; pāda-structure may show minor Saunaka irregularities).
