Depart thou, Old Age, in happy wise; put on thee round about this vesture: become a guardian from imprecation for the milch-kine. Live thou a hundred years, yea many autumns; and wrap thee in wealth and in increase of nourishment.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (late AV collection; specific r̥ṣi not securely fixed for this verse alone)
Devata: Jarā (as an affliction to be expelled) and the protective Vāsas/Rakṣā; prosperity powers (Rāy, Poṣa) implicitly invoked
Chandas: Mixed/late AV style; predominantly anuṣṭubh-like cadence with expanded pādas
