Sukta 3
यद्यज्जाया पचति त्वत् परःपरः पतिर्वा जाये त्वत् तिरः । सं तत् सृजेथां सह वां तदस्तु संपादयन्तौ सह लोमेकम्
yád-yaj jāyā́ pácati tvát paráḥ-paraḥ pátir vā jāye tvát tiráḥ | sáṃ tát sṛ́jethāṃ sahá vāṃ tád astu saṃpādayántau sahá lomékam
Whatsoever the Wife doth cook, let not the Husband go still farther off from thee, O Wife, nor pass beyond thee. Set ye that matter straight together—so be it for you twain—accomplishing it in concord, not differing by so much as a single hair.
Rishi: Atharvanic household tradition (anukramaṇī attributions vary).
Devata: Dampatī (the married pair) / Saṃmanasya (concord) as functional deity.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like (domestic charm register; scansion edition-dependent).
{"primary_rasa":"shringara","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_arc":"From anxiety about distance to a firm boundary of togetherness, ending in tender precision (‘not even a hair’).","listener_experience":"Warm reassurance and a sense of being held in mutual commitment.","intensity":5}
