उद्योधन्त्यभि वल्गन्ति तप्ताः फेनमस्यन्ति बहुलांश्च बिन्दून्। योषेव दृष्ट्वा पतिमृत्वियायैतैस्तण्डुलैर्भवता समापः
úd yódhanty abhí valganti taptā́ḥ phénam asyanti bahulā́ṃś ca bindū́n | yóṣeva dṛṣṭvā́ pátim ṛ́tviyāya etáis taṇḍuláir bhavatā sám ā́paḥ ||
Upward they strive and leap when heated; they cast forth foam and many a drop besides. As a wife, on seeing her lord, for the fit season—so, Waters, with these rice-grains be ye in full accord.
