IAST Transliteration
tápaś caivā́stām kárma cāntár maháty árṇave | té āsan janyā́s té varā́ bráhma jyeṣṭhavaró ’bhavat ||
English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)
Austerity and Act were there, within the mighty ocean: these were the kinsmen, these the suitors; Brahman became the chiefest suitor.
