Sukta 28
पुत्रमत्तु यातुधानीः स्वसारमुत नप्त्यऽम्। अधा मिथो विकेश्यो३वि घ्नतां यातुधान्यो३वि तृह्यन्तामराय्यः
putrám attu yātudhānī́ḥ svásāram utá naptýam | ádhā mithó vikéśyo ví ghnatāṃ yātudhānyò ví tṛ́hyantām arāyyàḥ ||
Let the Yātudhānī demonesses devour their own son, their sister also, and their descendant. Then, with hair unbound, let them smite each other asunder; yea, let the Yātudhānīs be torn in pieces—those hostile wretches.
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angiras-type attribution (rakṣoghna corpus; specific r̥ṣi as per Anukramaṇī for AV 1.28).
Devata: Yātudhānīs / Rakṣas (as the targeted hostile beings; the mantra functions as a binding/expelling command).
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (with Atharvanic cadence; pāda-structure consistent with 8-syllable quarters, allowing minor Saṃhitā irregularities).
