Sukta 5
यो वः शिवतमो रसस्तस्य भाजयतेह नः । उशतीरिव मातरः
yó vaḥ́ śivátamo rásaḥ tásya bhājayatehá naḥ | uśatī́r iva mātáraḥ |
Whoso of you hath sap most blest and kindly—of that, even here, vouchsafe to give us portion; like mothers gladly yearning (to nourish).
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (seer attribution varies by anukramaṇī; commonly treated as an Atharvan/Angiras-type healing utterance).
Devata: Oṣadhayaḥ (the Plants/Herbs), with rása as their personified efficacy.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (probable; requires full hymn metrical audit across 1.5).
{"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"shringara","emotional_arc":"Seeking → gentle persuasion → tender maternal reassurance.","listener_experience":"Warmth, trust in nature’s care, softened fear of illness.","intensity":3}
