दूष्यैर्वा भेदितुं मित्रं साध्यं सिद्धं च तिष्ठति ॥ कZ_०८.५.२९च्द् ॥
dūṣyair vā bhedituṃ mitraṃ sādhyaṃ siddhaṃ ca tiṣṭhati
By exploiting vulnerabilities (dūṣya), an ally can be split; whether the ally is yet to be secured or already secured, it remains susceptible to division.
Allies can be fractured through identifiable weak points; therefore alliance security requires continuous vulnerability control, not just initial alliance-making.
Both prospective allies and established allies can be targeted; the state must apply safeguards throughout the alliance lifecycle.
