चोरहृतमन्ययूथप्रविष्टमवलीनं वा नष्टम् ॥ कZ_०२.२९.१२ ॥
corahṛtam anyayūthapraviṣṭam avalīnaṃ vā naṣṭam
If stolen by thieves, or if it has entered another herd, or if it has strayed off/hidden itself—(it is treated as) ‘missing’ (naṣṭa).
Because administrative response differs: missing cases prioritize tracing/recovery and responsibility allocation, while destroyed cases focus on proof of calamity/accident and closure of accounts.
It signals a recoverable misplacement scenario and a potential dispute requiring identification records and adjudication.
