Sutra 12

चोरहृतमन्ययूथप्रविष्टमवलीनं वा नष्टम् ॥ कZ_०२.२९.१२ ॥

corahṛtam anyayūthapraviṣṭam avalīnaṃ vā naṣṭam

If stolen by thieves, or if it has entered another herd, or if it has strayed off/hidden itself—(it is treated as) ‘missing’ (naṣṭa).
