matsyāmbhasā tu sekena vṛddhirbhavati śākhinaḥ āvikājasakṛccūrṇaṃ yavacūrṇaṃ tilāni ca
By irrigating with water in which fish have been kept, the growth of branching trees is promoted. One should also apply powdered sheep/goat dung, barley-flour, and sesame seeds.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 246 (organic inputs: dung, milk, ghee; irrigation variants)
It gives Vṛkṣāyurveda-style horticultural guidance: irrigating trees with fish-infused water and using organic additives (powdered sheep/goat dung, barley powder, and sesame) to stimulate growth.
Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves practical applied knowledge—here, agronomy/plant-care—showing it functions as a compendium of sciences, including traditional fertilization and irrigation methods.
Supporting tree growth aligns with dharmic ideals of nurturing life and sustaining resources; in Purāṇic ethics, caring for trees is a meritorious act that promotes welfare (lokasaṃgraha) and non-harm through sustainable cultivation.
