The Hunter’s Austerity and the Gaining of Durvāsas’ Favor

प्राग्विज्ञानं गतं नाशमिदानीं शुद्धमक्षरम् । विद्धि तं शुद्धकायोऽसि तथाऽन्यत् ते शरीरकम् । तेन वेदाः समं शास्त्रैः प्रतिभास्यन्ति ते मुने ॥ ३८.३३ ॥

prāgvijñānaṃ gataṃ nāśam idānīṃ śuddham akṣaram | viddhi taṃ śuddhakāyo ’si tathā ’nyat te śarīrakam | tena vedāḥ samaṃ śāstraiḥ pratibhāsyanti te mune || 38.33 ||

Deine frühere, begrenzte Erkenntnis ist vergangen; erkenne nun das unvergängliche Akṣara als rein. Begreife, dass dein Leib geläutert ist und dass du eine andere, verfeinerte Verkörperung erlangt hast. Durch diese Läuterung und Verwirklichung werden dir die Veden zusammen mit den Śāstras offenbar werden, o Weiser.«
