Varaha Purana 34.2 — Adhyaya 34, Shloka 2

Account of the Origin of the Ancestors (Pitṛs) and the Regulations for Śrāddha Offerings

एकाग्रमनसा सर्वास्तन्मात्रा मनसा बहिः । कृत्वा परमकं ब्रह्म ध्यायन् सर्गेप्सुरुच्छकैः ॥ ३४.२ ॥

ekāgramanasā sarvās tanmātrā manasā bahiḥ | kṛtvā paramakaṃ brahma dhyāyan sargepsur uccakैḥ || 34.2 ||

Mit einspitzigem Geist, nachdem er alle feinen Elemente (tanmātras) im Denken nach außen gesetzt hatte, meditierte er über das höchste Brahman—begierig, die Schöpfung hervorzubringen—in erhabener Verfassung.
