पितृस्थाने प्रदातव्यं विधानान्मन्त्रसंयुतम् ॥ एवं प्रेतेषु विप्रेषु एव कालो न विद्यते ॥
pitṛsthāne pradātavyaṁ vidhānān mantrasaṁyutam || evaṁ preteṣu vipreṣu eva kālo na vidyate ||
Es soll an dem den Pitṛs (Ahnen) zugewiesenen Ort dargebracht werden, gemäß der vorgeschriebenen Ordnung und von Mantras begleitet; daher wird bei solchen Riten für die Verstorbenen unter Mitwirkung von Brāhmaṇas keine gesonderte Zeitbeschränkung genannt.
