The Harm of Destroying a Grove and the Merit of Tree-Planting as Pūrta-Dharma

भूमिदानेन ये लोका गोदानेन च कीर्त्तिताः ॥ ते लोकाः प्राप्यते पुंभिः पादपानां प्ररोहणे ॥

bhūmidānena ye lokā godānena ca kīrttitāḥ | te lokāḥ prāpyate puṁbhiḥ pādapānāṁ prarohaṇe |

Die Welten, von denen gesagt wird, dass man sie durch Landspende und durch Kuhspende erlangt, eben diese Welten erlangt der Mensch, indem er Bäume sprießen und wachsen lässt, sie pflanzt und pflegt.
