वृत्तान्तं कथयामास त्वागमस्य च कारणम् ॥ ततस्तेनैव सहितो गोधनं तत्प्रगृह्य च ॥

vṛttāntaṃ kathayāmāsa tvāgamasya ca kāraṇam || tatas tenaiva sahito godhanaṃ tatpragṛhya ca ||

Er berichtete den Hergang und auch den Grund deines Kommens; dann nahm er, von ihm begleitet, den Reichtum an Rindern an sich und zog fort.
