दण्डं च वैष्णवं दद्यात् नीलं वस्त्रं च तस्य वै ॥ एवं गृहीत्वा शूद्रोऽपि दीक्षायाः कारणं परम् ॥
daṇḍaṁ ca vaiṣṇavaṁ dadyān nīlaṁ vastraṁ ca tasya vai || evaṁ gṛhītvā śūdro ’pi dīkṣāyāḥ kāraṇaṁ param ||
Man soll ihm einen vaiṣṇavischen Stab geben und wahrlich ein dunkel gefärbtes Gewand; so wird selbst ein Śūdra, der dies annimmt, in höchstem Maße befähigt und zur Grundlage für die Dīkṣā.
