Maitreya Upanishad 29 — Verse 29

द्रष्टृदर्शनदृश्यानि त्यक्त्वा वासनया सह । दर्शनप्रथमाभासमात्मानं केवलं भज ॥२९॥

द्रष्टृ-दर्शन-दृश्यानि । त्यक्त्वा । वासनया । सह । दर्शन-प्रथम-आभासम् । आत्मानम् । केवलम् । भज ॥२९॥

draṣṭṛ-darśana-dṛśyāni tyaktvā vāsanayā saha | darśana-prathama-ābhāsam ātmānaṃ kevalaṃ bhaja ||29||

Nachdem du den Sehenden, das Sehen und das Gesehene samt den Vāsanās (latenten Eindrücken) aufgegeben hast, verehre und suche Zuflucht allein im Selbst (Ātman), dem ersten Aufscheinen, das aller Wahrnehmung zugrunde liegt.

Having abandoned the seer, the seeing, and the seen—together with latent impressions (vāsanā)—worship (or resort to) the Self alone, which is the first appearance underlying perception.
