Maitreya Upanishad 28 — Verse 28

Do not become of the nature of the ‘grasped’ (object-state); and do not become of the nature of the ‘grasper’ (subject). Having abandoned all conceptual construction (bhāvanā), become of the nature of what remains.

Advaita; sākṣin (witness) beyond subject-object; nirvikalpa (freedom from conceptualization); aparokṣa-jñānaMahavakya: Directly consonant with ‘aham brahmāsmi’/‘tat tvam asi’: negates identification with knower/known and points to the non-dual remainder (Brahman) as one’s own nature.YajurKṛṣṇa Yajurveda (Maitrāyaṇīya śākhā) ShakhaChandas: Anuṣṭubh-śloka (classical śloka style)
