Abandoning the ‘word-state’ characterized by measures (mātrā) and signs (liṅga), devoid of phoneme and consonantal articulation, one proceeds to the subtle state by the ‘m’ (makāra) without vowel (asvara).

Praṇava’s dissolution into the subtle (nāda → anāhata/niḥśabda); transcendence of vāc (speech) toward BrahmanMahavakya: Supports the movement from verbal indication (śabda) to direct realization (aparokṣa), where mahāvākya meaning is assimilated and words fall silent.AtharvaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka)
