Skanda Purana — Vishnu Khanda, Shloka 106

वर्णानां ब्राह्मणो यद्वत्तथा तीर्थेषु संगमः । सरयूघर्घरायोगे वैष्णवस्थो नरः सदा

varṇānāṃ brāhmaṇo yadvattathā tīrtheṣu saṃgamaḥ | sarayūghargharāyoge vaiṣṇavastho naraḥ sadā

Wie der Brāhmaṇa unter den varṇa der Erste ist, so ist der Saṅgama unter den tīrtha der Erste. Am Zusammenfluss von Sarayū und Ghargharā verweilt der Mensch stets im vaiṣṇavischen Zustand, auf Viṣṇu ausgerichtet.
