vikṛtiṃ yāṃti paścātte kaṣṭaṃ vadhyā bhavaṃti me | patreṇa puṣpamātreṇa oṃkāreṇa śivena ca | muktiṃ yāti naro deva bhavabhaktiṃ karotu kaḥ
Viṣṇu (continuing from preceding verse)
Tirtha: Vastrāpatha-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Maheśvara (Śiva)
Scene: Viṣṇu speaks with a mix of concern and philosophical resignation: asuras become perverse and must be slain; juxtaposed is a humble devotee offering a single leaf and flower before a Śiva-liṅga, with the syllable Oṃ radiating above.
Liberation is accessible through simple, sincere Śiva-bhakti—offering a leaf or flower and remembering Oṃ and Śiva—so one should not cling to saṃsāric attachment.
The teaching is embedded in the Vastrāpathakṣetra Māhātmya section of Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa.
Simple worship: offering a leaf (patra) or flower (puṣpa), and japa/remembrance of Oṃkāra and the name ‘Śiva’.
