चंद्रावयवसंयुक्तं जटाजूटकपालिनम् । एकीभावं प्रपन्नोहं यथा पूर्वं तथाऽधुना । न मां गौरी प्रपश्येत प्रपश्यामि तथैव च
caṃdrāvayavasaṃyuktaṃ jaṭājūṭakapālinam | ekībhāvaṃ prapannohaṃ yathā pūrvaṃ tathā'dhunā | na māṃ gaurī prapaśyeta prapaśyāmi tathaiva ca
Ich erblickte jene Gestalt, geschmückt mit der Mondsichel, mit verfilzten Jata-Locken, die die Schädelschale trägt. In diese Einheit habe ich Zuflucht genommen—wie zuvor, so auch jetzt. Möge Gaurī mich nicht erblicken; und auch ich werde sie auf dieselbe Weise schauen (wie einst).
